Kinship Tax - generally the amount paid into the outlaw groups
coffers/treasure chest by every member of that group, still
alive (not serving as a Monk or with the Militia) at 12.00noon
every day.
. . The killing of other
group members is therefore best done between 09.00am and 12.00
noon.
Township Tax –
amount collected from the group’s coffers by the town
treasury, under armed guard, at 1.30pm every day. Stays the
same every day no matter who dies and joins other groups.
. . The more depleted becomes
the group, the more crippling this tax becomes.
The above two taxes will be altered to balance treasury and
group income if numbers are unequal at the start of the enactment
game as in the example table below: -

Justice Tax - An additional
tax of 5coin per group member in jail will also be levied
at 1.30pm.
. . “Jail- Breaks”
arranged before this time will prevent payment of these taxes.
Musket & Pistol Discharge Tax – will also be collected at this time
in accordance with the records of Monk/Referees. 10coin per
discharge from any firearm shot by a member of that group.
Gate Tolls –
every participant, or member of public, has to pay to enter
the central town hub. This will be set at 1coin, so as not
to discourage free movement and trade. Gate coinage will be
regularly collected by the town treasury, under armed guard,
at 12.00 noon, 2.30pm and 5.00pm.
. . Outlaws could take over
a gate; raise the toll for entry, impose another for exit,
others for entry or exit with certain goods, and grant free
passage for members of there own group.
Purchase from Merchants and Traders – all products, food and drink, will be paid for with
real money plus the amount of Game Coin the trader wishes
to additionally charge.
The starting rates are 5coin per food & drink item, and
10coin for all individual goods purchased.
Traders wishing to give sales incentives may display alternative,
reduced rates of game coin, but may also wish to secretly/verbally
reduce them to certain favoured outlaw groups.
. . This would occur if taken
over or paying protection to an outlaw group. A group may
also try to gain more game coin by asking the trader to put
up rates, on certain rare or exclusive items.
. . This must be done
with the trader’s consent – the game cannot interfere
with real trade.
So as to allow traders to buy-in contraband and be robbed
of game coin at anytime, they get secret deliveries of a 100
coin at 10.00am, 12.00noon, 2.00pm and 4.00pm every day –
these deliveries cannot be robbed in transit, and are also
made as a way of minimizing the affect of any coin paid in
purchases, on the swelling any single outlaw group’s
coffers.
Traders Tax –
200coin is collected, under armed guard, every day at 3.30pm,
from all traders by the town treasury. Traders who are unable
to pay this sum, because of robberies and/or greedy protectors,
will be closed down, with the loss of all contraband. They
will then be “re-opened under new management”
– the same trader in disguise, but not subject to any
old trade/protection agreements. The confiscated contraband
is taken to the Town Treasury. .
. This can be robbed by enterprising outlaws, who may
have deliberately robbed the trader prior to tax collection
to get rid of the previous protectors.
